I heard they are preparing for the worst...

I don't think they'll ever see anything as bad as Katrina again in the space of 100 years though.

Could be wrong, but I really don't think so.

I doubt the two systems will do anything besides weaken each other.

I just looked at the latest updates and it looks like they already diffused each other for the most part... probably a lot of rain, which of course can be a problem, but other than that I think everything will be okay.

Latest info being talked about, Laura 2 days behind. Marco could by then move back off shore with Laura a hurricane by then, run into Marco, both combine and then re-slam back ashore.

20 ft. storm surges expected in some areas.

A lot of people didn't take this storm seriously...

Myself included, I figured it'd die down massively.

Guess not.

It doesn't appear to be a direct New Orleans hit though.

Gonna hit after midnight or so...

Pretty scary shit.

Maximum sustained winds as of 10pm are 150mph.
Residents who are staying are being told to write their full names on their arms.
And to write down emergency contacts and next of kin on a piece of paper and place it in a waterproof zip lock bag, and attach it to their bodies.
