I think mini cakes are a very cute idea and can be achieved in a muffin pan to feed more people or if by yourself just a ramekin.

There are also mug cakes but those are pretty chaotic, I think we need to aim for mini cakes in a more aesthetically pleasing form.

I actually find chaos and abstraction to be aesthetically pleasing in many cases, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't apply to food, that's all. Food shouldn't be chaotic or abstract, lol!

Historically a nice simple single layer (cake pan sized) cake was always my go-to.

I love to apply a nice frosting and then do the sprinkles and such.

I haven't done that in a long time, in fact I think the last time was...

Cakes that take a long time and a lot of artistic effort to prepare kinda freak me out because such a sterile environment would be required throughout the process, I mean it's supposed to be edible right??

When I cut the cake, instead of asking who wants a corner piece, I'll ask who wants a tiddy or schlong.

The only reason to make a cake multilayer is if you want to put different types of frosting or filling between the layers.

I think that's excessive and it should simply all be put on top of the cake.

For some reason, my mom decided my official birthday cake should be angel food with chocolate frosting.

That sounds good if strawberries and powdered sugar are involved somewhere along the way.

I would say angel food cake with some kinda pineapple topping dribbled with chocolate would be cool.

Any fruit goes with angel food cake, it's very diverse. Raspberries and chocolate would be great too.

The possibilities are endless, but man it's been so long since I had an angel food cake.

Well anyways, it's fine... at least I have fruit and I'm so grateful!!!

Mug cakes are good...

I went through a stint of cocao powder mug cakes.

Peanut butter and chocolate chips throughout.

The shit is scandalously delicious, but should only be enjoyed once or twice a year.
