It's funny how they just 100% gloss over the whole Elon connection.

Everyone's heard of the Death Note manga but I've personally never read it. It's got some great characters though. I'm sure it's a great excuse for what the song is about, but rather than the song being ALL about the manga, I think it's the other way around... the manga was clearly used as inspiration for what the song is REALLY about.
