Honest to God, for as long as I can remember, I've never been able to remember the color of people's eyes.
Like unless they're OBVIOUSLY brown or OBVIOUSLY blue, I just cannot remember the color or I can't discern it to begin with.
When it comes to green, eyes that are a mix of colors, hazel, anything ambiguous whatsoever, I CANNOT TELL.
I can literally stare at somebody's eyes and still not be able to tell what color they are.

I can't remember what color people's eyes are and I usually can't even tell what color they are in the first place.
TBH I can't really remember people's faces either.
I've basically never been able to remember these things.
Like if I haven't seen somebody lately, I can hardly remember what they look like.
It doesn't matter who it is. I can hardly remember faces. If I do, it's VAGUE.

TBH I just can't even remember what people look like in general.
It boggles my mind when people remember what a specific person was wearing...
I NEVER remember what people are wearing. Like I could see them, and 5 minutes later you could ask me what they were wearing...
Nooo fucking idea.

Like I'm thinking back on people I've been super infatuated with over the years...
Legitimately cannot remember what most of them look like.

And I've even tested this out on myself...
Honest to God, I have a hard time remembering what I LOOK LIKE.
If I purposely avoid mirrors or seeing myself in any other way for a few days, I legitimately start to forget what I look like.
If I saw a girl with violet eyes well …

I think I'm pretty similar...definitely with clothes, and eye color doesn't stand out for people I know but I'd have a good guess. With faces--I'll likely forget someone I've just met (could be an attention problem)...with people I know, some are distinct but others have a mutable appearance in my head...it's like there's nothing to grab onto, or they don't stick. Even some people I know well I can't picture clearly...not sure what all the factors are but it may tend to be ones whose appearance varies more in real life, or whose features to me aren't distinct or interesting enough to fully register. Some are more chameleon like than others. Another thing could be if you've known someone a long time your memory is a murky composite of all the ways they've looked over the years, or it's a particular look from whatever time period that's in your mind, and now they're different. Memory is weird...I'm generally better with non visual information.
Oddly tho people from long ago like elementary school classmates and teachers- I can picture distinctly...or at least it seems like I can, hard to tell if it's accurate

I think you hit the nail on the head...
With people who I thought were remarkable in some way, I can remember them better than others.
People with distinct features that stood out *to me*, I can remember them.
I put emphasis on that because there a lot of people I've met who OTHER people would say were distinct or remarkable somehow, but I just don't remember them that well.
So, beautiful people or people with exotic features, I'm just not guaranteed to remember them even if I'd agree they were great looking or something.
What really gets me is not being able to remember the faces of people I've known all my life, or people I was romantically interested in.
You'd think those people would be emblazoned into your brain but... it's vague.
I remember people's essence and the way they made me feel or what I sensed about them far more than I remember their physical details.

It's probably pretty common, but I like to ponder everything.

I only like green eyes, so I'll remember if they have green eyes.
Soo many actors have green eyes, like Don Johnson.

I've heard people say the same thing about green eyes!
Green eyes are the most rare, yes they are beautiful.
I knew a dude who had green eyes and lmao we used to joke Coldplay wrote this song about him...

What would make green eyes better is if they glowed like animal eyes.
I wonder if they patterened the night vision electronics after animal eyes, because they both have the green glow.

Glowing eyes on humans would be awesome.
They should glow whatever color the eyes are though.
I guess recognition in person is different than recalling in the abstract, but still

I read about Brad Pitt's inability to recognize faces and I thought about some of my similar problems... it reminded me of what I experience, only it sounds like he has it a lot worse!
I can see how it would make people think he's just super into himself and can't remember because he doesn't care... but that's just not true.
Sometimes I can remember people's faces, and sometimes, I can't.
But it's not because I don't care about them or I dislike them or anything like that... I just genuinely (most of the time) cannot remember what the heck they look like.

Like today for example, I'm trying to think back on various random people I've known over the years, and it's a great day for recognition/remembering faces.
These kinda days are rare... I usually can't remember.

There are a few folks I can't remember too clearly, but for the most people, the people I typically have trouble remembering are clearer than usual.
