Nick Drake
I feel alright, how are you feeling?

6:56 awww, what a sweetheart... it's so hard to be such a genius, people never understand you. At least not until it's too late.

8:10 because the fuckin' game is rigged and always has been... nothing true or genuine actually comes out of popular music.

Besides, I'm sure he was offered some kinda crossroads agreement and just didn't take it, because he's not the kind who would.

9:47 Joe Boyd looks like a douche.

13:35 pretty sure none of that is true, dunno where that guy got his info.

The soul of Nick Drake,
if I could give him a big ol hug..
Whether he be resting,
or reincarnated.
Wherever he resides,
hope it is much Love,
by his side.

This is why it's important to understand that everything is happening all at once and time is an illusion.

The love that people have for Nick and his work now are beamed back in time to him...

If he had known it was there and if he could have allowed himself to feel it, maybe he'd still be around.

We've gotta stop looking at time as linear, seems like the cause of a lot of issues.

This is my favorite Nick Drake song.

It's one of those songs I could listen to on repeat for hours.

Perfect background ambience.

People say his music is sad, or that he was the "Patron Saint of the Miserable" but I fully disagree...

Pink Floyd's music is depressing. Great, but totally doomy.

Nick Drake's music is not depressing. It's soothing.

On almost every video about Nick Drake, there are at least a few people in the top voted comments saying his music saved their lives or that it brings them immense peace...

That's accurate.

I find Nick Drake soothing in much the same way I find the Delta blues soothing...

And Nick was very inspired by the blues, so it makes sense...

Nick also used alternate tunings like the Delta blues musicians did... CGCFCE is an iconic Nick Drake tuning. Everything you play with it sounds like one of his songs.

Gotta use a capo though.

His greatest song is Pink Noon, from the Subaru commercial. It rocks. The best way to listen is at 2X speed while meditating, imagining the different plastic flowers one could have on the dash of one's Subaru Beetle. It is weird that the Beetles didn't sing that song instead. They're a cool band too. But really since it was a Jetta commercial, it should have been Joan Jetta. She loves not only rock, but also roll. Apparently Subaru didn't realize this. However, it is good that Nick is related to the singer Drake, so in some sense his music lives on.

You deserve some kind of award for that shit, Guest...

I am 100% for fucking real...

Like, it's such a high level of satire and tongue in cheek, I have no idea who could have even come up with it.

Fucking sheer excellence...

Slow Clap

It's just so incalculably offensive and soulless...

Listening to Pink Moon on double speed, imagining plastic flowers.

Holy shit I am mindblown.

Absolutely brilliant.

This site may not have that many people on it, but the people who are here have a formidable level of intelligence.

Even the lurkers who never say anything.
