When Perry Mason is on, the internet needs to shut the fuck up!
It's just started and this is my green friend. He's the enforcer of this deal.

I think we should shut down the internet when Perry Mason is on.

Part of me wants to unplug the computers, buy a 12 inch TV off eBay, set it on top of a bar stool at the end of my bed and just lay around watching re-runs of my favorite classic shows all day. And eat in the bed, ALWAYS naked and feeling the grit of crumbs on my buttcheeks.

What a trip. Twilight Zone just came on and it was super strange looking. It looked like a home video... like it was shot on a digital video camera set to black and white.
You know that video taped, as opposed to film look? Like a soap opera. It has a very distinct look. This was 1961! I read about it... I had to look this up, so I googled "Twilight Zone video tape or film" and found that in 1961 CBS informed the producers that, at $65,000 per episode, they were over budget. So they decided to video tape the rest of that season to try to save money. There were only 6 episodes shot on very early video! It looks so surreal. I actually thought it was a remake and that they were trying to make it look like the original. The video format makes it look very clear in a strange way.... like it almost glows and the movement seem like HD.... like there are way more frames per second than film has, which is 24 frames per second I think. The last video HD video camera I bought was like 7 years ago and it has ""cinema mode" which cuts the frames down to film speed and tries to emulate the depth of field and the lighting of film. But this Twilight Zone episode looks like it could have been shot on this camera in black and white mode yesterday. Very interesting.

It's a smart TV, so it gets to spy on me and see me doing whatever nasty things I might be doing. I also have a laptop computer that I keep folded up and on top a shelf. I have a wireless keyboard mouse and I have a 23" touch-screen monitor that is on one of those mounts that allows it to fold away flush against the wall to the side of my bed. When I want to use my computer I just fold the monitor out and grab my keyboard. If I can't find my keyboard (sometimes it falls off the bed or gets hidden under a pillow or something) I can use the touch screen. So I have a complete command center on my bed! LOL. That's were I'm at mist of the time when I'm posting at night. The TV I bought to play meditative HD scenes. I turn off the lights and watch the stars or a river/stream or something. I love technology! I feel so comfortable and cozy in my room! Oh, I was able to film some of that Twilight Zone I was talking about from my phone. I'll see if I can upload it to youtube and post it. Now one thing I really want to get for my bedroom is a really big skylight window. The kind that are clear glass and can be opened several different ways. I want it to be really big and right above my bed, so I can see the stars, storms and the seagulls! I really want to get one. Am I rambling enough? lol

GG...
Thank you for looking into that filming/camera change on the Twilight Zone. I remember the first time I saw one of those episodes where they used that "soap opera" style camera. It was an episode about a radio playing a station that didn't exist anymore or some such. The fact that they filmed a single episode with that terrible camera setup is a crying shame. I really mean it. I refuse to watch those episodes because it completely ruins the vibe and cheapens it... the atmosphere is totally obliterated. There were some great storylines which fell victim to the mistake as well. Unfortunate. They try to explains things by saying they were attempting to save money... but I think it was something far more sinister. I think they were trying to ruin the show, to lessen the impact of its message. Somebody must have protested against the atrocity. |
