I was just reminded of when I was a teen and first started playing with myself. I remember thinking that my dead grandmother was having to see me doing that. It never stopped me, but it sure was a shitty thing to have in the back of my mind.

Well I had a lot of religious guilt. But relating to your specific case, I also thought ghosts were watching me. Because they were. So there's that!

I was raised Christian and went to a southern Baptist church. I was homeschooled the whole time. I was an introverted child and enjoyed being alone. I had a lot of fun by myself and it was great. I had all the freedom in the world (still do). I was well behaved. I remember my childhood and teenage years very fondly and with gratitude.

I had so much freedom as well.. my mom was a just an incredibly great mother for us five kids and we all turned out to have her values and we are all good, honest and humble because of our upbringing. I feel grateful and blessed as well. When I say I hated the church, I don't mean to say I hated my Christian upbringing. Far from it. The values I learned are the same values that helped shape this country, and I'm very grateful for it. I was always doing something as a kid. Never watched much TV... I was always doing something and never bored. I feel sorry for kids today.
