I think that's pretty common though.
I was super quiet. I could even be hiding in the same room with people and they didn't even know.

i tried that cliche thing of holding a glass up to the door to try to listen in. that does not work, lol.

I can verify that no, it does not work whatsoever.
But it does clank and give away the fact that you're trying to listen through the wall with a glass.
Yes, I would try to listen to see what was happening since I would get bored at night since nobody is doing anything, wtf.
