Of course I've discussed "vaper's lung" in the past and have to point out that I think vaping presents its own health hazards just like smoking cigarettes does. I'm sure vaping is considerably less deadly due to the avoidance of all the chemicals found in tobacco these days, etc. But I still think it can cause serious problems. When I had my fun vaping, I noticed it caused me to cough up clear little gelatinous bits... not exactly normal. You really have to just... not have a vice. It takes willpower and it can be hard, but it's the only way to avoid these various hazards.

There's a lot more to this than just a talent that you can honest to God only blame on the 21st century...
Specialized mouth and tongue techniques which form shapes with vapor? LMAO... I mean what the fuck. I dunno how this guy does it, but it's undeniably pretty remarkable. You add this artsy/trippy aspect of vapor filled bubbles floating on top of water and you've got something pretty magical. This guy is basically a magician... there are some kinda principles dealing with the fabric of reality/existence at play here. `vaper's lung` is something taken from popcorn lung, which is well known. early batches of vape fluid were flavored using diacetyl, which tastes buttery and delicious but you don't want in your lungs. very few if any fluids still use diacetyl.
re: coughing up bits - the PG/VG in the fluid grabs water and dries stuff up. if you had a bunch of wet mucous in your lungs before vaping, it'll dry that shit out and your lungs will respond by coughing it up. no one was freakin out about fog machines in the past. tons of venues use them and people are fine. as long as you're not using shitty liquid and not burning your atomizers, vaping is ok. the worst part, from my research, is how PG is metabolized into lactic acid. that's what your muscles produce when over exerted, so i wouldn't recommend vaping to someone doing a lot of lifting. it'll fuck up recovery time. |
