If Zane doesn’t get rich and famous it means he’s relegated himself to the malcontents and lower echelons of society... because it’s his destiny to be wildly successful, and the only way to fuck it up is to settle for less and keep doing the wrong thing. If he doesn’t claim it and accept his fame/fortune, I can’t be his lady.

Whatever, it’s Zane’s exception. It’s not necessarily true for other dudes. I’ve been in love with a few people who had little financial security to speak of, but things fell through! It depends on the person. With Zane and his sordid past, he has to prove himself by way of being financially successful. Let’s never forget I fell in love with Zane as a hobo!
