Problem is, Zane’s core belief system is based on pure bullshit. Wanna know who else believed in Spirit guides? Native Americans. A handful of dudes that looked like Paul McCartney and the guy from Coldplay erased their entire civilization off the map. It took Cortez only 600 soldiers to defeat the entire Aztec empire. Deep irrationally is, and has always been, a huge disadvantage. That doesn’t stop druggie shaman like Zane, though. See, he is different. Never mind that almost nobody ever has achieved their goals but getting high or drunk the entire day. Even fewer leading that lifestyle in their late 30s. But Zane’s different. The sprit guide thing is evidence that ones brain has turned to mush. It is a byproduct of psychedelic culture which is itself a psy-op foisted upon the youth of America in the 60s to discredit protest culture. Pre LSD the street protests were Martin Luther King peacefully walking down the streets in suits. After LSD, they were Altamont and Charles Manson. Zane Drank the Flavor Aid a long time ago. (Not coincidentally, a lot of Jim Jones’ crew were acid casualties too)...much brain and psychedelic experiences are close relatives. Zane’s been lucky so far that his mush brain has been in a cute package. But sooner or later, best case he’ll be a Cuervo or Space Cowboy and no one will want to watch his Blair Witch quality live streams. Worst case, he gets drunk and chases his tail till he dies. He could realize the scam he’s bought into, of course. But there is absolutely no sign of that happening.

The people we've seen him spend the most time with are the absolute most low vibrational dregs of society...

There are some evil people who will enjoy seeing Zane dwindle away into a drug addled bag of bones.
And they're the same people he's allowed in his life for the longest amount of time.

I’m only sharing what I found to be helpful in my own quest to shake off the bullshit. Every druggie comes from the island of misfit toys...physical abuse, neglect.. all that shit. To survive we make our imagination our friend. LSD is like gasoline on that fire. Whole lots of us went through long periods where we were convinced acid had “fixed” us , got us off drugs or whatever and had it turn into a long con.
I have a neighbor who came from Cambodia as a refugee escaped to Thailand in the trunk of a car. Saw his parents killed by the KR in front of his face. He has an upholstery business now and an American wife. He was able to do that because he is stress hardy. He went through tough shit and didn’t crack up.
LSD more than any other drug erodes that stress hardiness. It turns people into Pollyanna dreamers who can’t actually see their own problems. This effect lasts long after the drug is gone. I know this from my own experience and the experiences of dozens of friends I had from Phish tour in the late 90s. More than one has ended up homeless or dead. Understanding how the drug worked and it’s history was a bit of a red pill for me. I’m just offering the same one to Zane.
