I'll grant you that I don't think the "ok boomer" meme was artificially bolstered...
But many have been.

Usually the most atrocious and obnoxious ones were forced.
I have not looked into the "ok boomer" meme enough to know whether it was truly grass roots.
Not saying it was fabricated...
