If I remember it right, YouTube started getting hot with all the self-promoting
YouTube 'celebrities' and "YouTube famous" was becoming a thing.
Everybody and their bitch neighbor was getting their "brand" out there.
Merch became a thing, with EVERYDAMNBODY. Suddenly, you couldn't throw
a fucking rock in any direction without hitting some fucking hack 'influencer'
hawking their cheap slave-labor crap to their audience: a multitude of dumbfuck
12 year-olds.
Also, ads started to become a problem. NOTHING like they are now. Jesus fuck, it's
gotten retardulous how bad ads on videos are!! Fucking whores. I get it, you gotta
straight yo' hustle, but goddamn, 6 fucking ads a video? Go fuck your momma sideways!
And don't get me started on the forced-watch ads. The ones you can't skip.
