The cause of ALL these fucked up situations people are in is almost ALWAYS trauma based.

Quite possibly. That and a sort of rebellion. Like Cartman: "Whateva, whateva, I can do what I want!" haha 
Growing up in a well-to-do family can be great.... right up until it isn't. 
And it seems like a lot of these vegans, influencers and vegan-influencers 
come from above average income homes.
