I generally agree with the sentiment, but I have found a few gems amongst early 2000s records and films. Late 50s to early 2000s seems to be my personal niche, but I won't set any hard boundaries. I figure if something is good, I'll hear about it from people with taste. I don't bother wading through the good, bad, and ugly in hopes of stumbling upon something worthwhile.

And this is what I've been doing in my home with all of the vintage gear, media, accessories, and decor I've collected. I'm trying to recreate an authentic 80s-ish environment, with a few modern touches that I feel are a natural and appropriate progression of the accepted order.
