A definite experiment of some kind...
I dunno how it started out.
It's almost like it started out with...
ALMOST decent intentions.
Like a genuine love between a pet and an 'owner'...
The pet was given lots of toys...
But in time something changed with the 'owner' and their intention...
It's almost like corruption took over in the owner and then they perverted their relationship with the human pet, and their gifts of fun toys took on a new (negative) purpose.
It became an experiment...
Let's see what they do with the toys.
Let's see what kind of messes they get into.
Let's see how they either die, or get out of those messes.
Let's see how the messes change them and form their development.
And this change in the intention of the owners could have taken place in only a generation or two.
It didn't have to be eons and eons.
Think about it, it happens all the time...
People don't always value what they inherit...
Doesn't mean to them what it meant to the ones who came before them, to the originals.
