Lubbock's a big city too. Population 255,885.
If it goes hot in a city that size it could be disastrous.
Surrounding big cities being:
Amarillo, Texas [pop. 200,000]
Wichita Falls, Texas [pop. 132,000]
Abilene, Texas [pop. 123,000]
Roswell, New Mexico [pop. 48,000]
And it's not unheard of for people to do daily commutes from
say Lubbock to Abilene, or Lubbock to Amarillo. Spreading it would
be as easy as soft butter on warm toast!
