It's hard to find people who really love you when you're rich and famous
#7
I have been in a similar situation.

Some of my friends thought I made a lot of money, although it really wasn't that much. Just a decent salary that I could live on comfortably and pursue my hobbies and what-not. It seemed a lot to them because they were shiftless mooches. They were always wanting me to blow money on entertaining them. One guy was always on about "all that money" I made, as though I were a CEO or something. Another one wanted me to give him money to go to a nightclub even though I didn't want to go myself. WTF? Money is literally all they were interested in. They didn't care about me as a person. They were along for the ride.

I know how I'd feel in that situation because that's how I've always felt regardless. Do not presume to tell me I don't know how I'd feel about something. I've dealt with those people before. Maybe not on the same scale that a millionaire has, but one can extrapolate.
