Looking the Same Way

I feel like we are all together on a plane.
Staring ahead.
Making small talk.
Getting to know each other a little, but not too much.

Going the same direction, but for different reasons.
The landing gear is down now.  Our ears are popping.

Soon we’ll be on the ground.
 Then it’s off to the baggage claim.
Some brought too much, some not enough.
The lucky ones lost a bag or two.

It’s ok.  All the essentials were in your carry on.
