Us introverts are likely descended from rural/farming/poor people. Most of my relatives were raised in rural north Texas. Some of them actually picked cotton despite being white as snow! Many generations of rural/farm living tend to produce people who are patient/calm/slow/introverted. Many generations of city living produces the opposite.
