And there's little incentive for anyone to professionally help people this way since it's so time/attention intensive...
You'd either have to be paid well for your services over the course of treatment, or you'd have to have a pretty deep personal interest in the patient, such as being a family member or spouse or something.
Of course, it needs to be proven to actually work first (which I'm certain it would)...
Therefore trials would be necessary, and it's likely these would just have to be a labor of love at first. In other words, you'd have to be willing to do it solely because you have some type of passionate drive and focus for helping people with these particular ailments.
