Getting reports that people are receiving direct deposits into their bank accounts re: stimulus.
I've been trying to get clarification about whether these accounts were associated with paying taxes thru the online ID thingy you can get from the IRS, or if it's going to bank accounts that have been used to pay taxes/receive refunds.
Hell I dunno but it's pretty freaky.
Fairly sure that I don't qualify for this anyways, but I know some folks who agreed with me that we just don't want the money and I think some of them might end up with a direct deposit.
It's upsetting because it was forced. If it had merely been a check that we could have decided to deposit or not, that would have been different... at least there would have been a choice.
