I made smoked salmon today.

I usually use Old Bay, but Walmart was out of it yesterday. Of all of the things to be out of, right? The way these shortages work out is fucking stupid. They have spaghetti sauce but no spaghetti for weeks. Then, when they finally have spaghetti, there's no sauce. Don't people buy the two together? I mean just because I can make marinara from scratch doesn't mean I have all day to do it.
But I digress.
I got to hunting around the spice aisle for something to use in place of my old standby, the aforementioned Old Bay. I didn't want any kind of seasoned salt. I wasn't particularly wanting a steak or barbecue rub either, although a Montreal rub probably would've worked in a pinch. Eventually, my eyes fell upon this unassuming little packet that read "PERFECT FOR FISH" in big letters:

I thought it was a little pricey for what it was (just over half an ounce of organic spices), but I decided to give it a try. I think it will be my go-to seasoning for salmon from now on. Except I'll eventually make my own because it'll be cheaper. I don't really care if the spices are organic and imported from the Netherlands. I got other shit to worry about.
