Actually being a non-expert I have to respectfully correct you madam.
Those big ass jawbreaker zits you see on people. They're calls sebaceous cysts. Sebaceous glands are what produces oil for our
skin so it is always supple and doesn't dry out. Sometime something goes wrong, the gland become infected and incoming oatmeal
volcano formation.
They need excision, NOT popping. Also, unless you know what you're doing; a dermatologist is the best. I like Dr. Pimplepopper on youtube.
She has the most nightmarish videos.
Also once an incision is made, (it's got to be about 3/4 the length of the diameter of the cyst) the mound needs to gently be squeezed and mashed.
This lets the cheesy-waxy material get loose and easier to squeeze out of the incision like toothpaste or squeezy cheese. It will bleed a little bit so sterility
is a must. Not a big deal, just prep with alcohol.
Once there is little to no cheese/wax to squeeze, the "sac" needs to be removed. This can only be shown on a video not described and it MUST be taken out.
That little bugger is the reason it gets so big. If you DONT get the sack, it will repair itself and reinflate itself with sebaceous gland oils which can't be distributed
into the skin properly so it stays in a pouch, gets hard if not excised and in the beginning it will seem more like grits.
It smells like .... non-victory....in a big rotting, disgusting worse than anything I've smelled in my life type smell.
Get the sack, or it comes back!
Sometimes the cyst is so big it needs to be "packed" with gauze, wait a bit (a day or a few) then taken out with bits o cheese and stuff. It may or may not require sutures (usually only 2-3 max)
You can do this yourself just make sure you sterilize everything and have plenty of isopropyl alcohol. You may have very bad flashbacks and possibly a few nightmares. What comes out of that incision is not of this world!
