One of my favorites is watching the progression of human life on the planet...
If you zoom out far enough in time you can see the seemingly endless cycle of birth/life/death play out throughout genetic lines...
But eventually it becomes so rapid that focusing on any details like bloodlines etc. isn't possible anymore because it all morphs into one giant organism shedding itself over and over again.
