A lot of times I will make attempts to save spiders (and other insects) by catching them in a large container such as a deep mixing bowl or a very large cup... just depends on the size of the creature. Then I put them outside.
But man, depending on the situation and the circumstances...
Sometimes killin' is just what comes most naturally.
