The only problem with that is Russia doesn't want to rule the world.
It just wants to Rule Russia.
If you look at every military campaign they ever engaged in, even going back to the Cossack's on horses.
Its because Russians were being killed.
Look at their constitution? They are only allowed to go to war invade another country if someone is harming/killing Russians.
The only reason they got involved in Syria was cos the Muji's were attacking their bases.
