Defunding the police is ultimately self-defeating

When police departments are underfunded, they tend to fund themselves through speed traps, asset seizures, and other means. Or they just fold altogether. The town of Winona, Texas has no police department because the police chief embezzled all of its funds.

Do these protesters really want the cops pulling them over every time they turn around over some petty infraction?

Do they want to lose their cars and homes over a small amount of marijuana?

Do they want to be at the mercy of violent criminals, with no prospect of help ever arriving?

Dumbasses.

Winona is a city in Smith County, Texas, United States. The population was 576 at the 2010 census.It really never needed a police department to begin with. Not a good example. It is a good example in the fact that corruption can create a false need where there is none for income revenue generation.
