Aside from cats, dogs and pot-bellied pigs [haha] I don't really see a point
in having any other animals as pets. Unless they can be afforded the freedom
that cats and dogs get [ability to roam and run, not limited to yards] then it's
really not healthy for the animal.
Cages, tanks, aquariums/terrariums just aren't animal friendly in nearly all cases.
I'm no tree-hugging hippy but dang, think of the poor little critters. Having a "pet"
or "additional family member" is as much about improving the quality of THEIR lives
as it is about your own. Maybe even more so because they can't make decisions for
themselves like us humans can.
