I'm not sure how it would shake out but for the longest time now I've been a firm
believer in term limits... for ALL government positions! Down to BUT excluding
postal workers. And it would have to, have to, have to work in tiers.
President/VP level: 4 years MAX. End of fucking story! No further discussion.
Senate/Congress: Same as above. Go cry into your fucking lunchbox Pelosi.
SC/Fed Judges: 8 years. Yep, that's it. Fuck off, good riddance and have a nice life!
All local/state Judges: 4 years. More than enough time. Keep it movin' fucko!
Everything else at local city/county/state levels: 2 years.
If we're EVER to get people into positions of power AND expect them to stay on
the honest side of things it's gonna need to be more of a revolving-door policy
and not career politician-ism. That way, they don't have time to get into their
particular brand of office, dig their heels in and work towards a lifetime of
corruption using all that time to weave pockets of protection for their illicit
and evil deeds.
Like I said, the logistics of this probably wouldn't work. But it sounds WAY
fucking better than what we've got now!
