Hazel is a bluish green.

Hazel eyes are said to look blue when you wear blue, or green when you wear green. I've never studied the matter enough to say.

I have hazel eyes.

I've always mistakenly said mine were hazel. Hazel eyes do have a range of colors - and one is very similar to mine. 

I didn't even know that "amber" was it's own eye color, but that's what mine are.
