Is there anybody here who hasn't seen Blazing Saddles??

It's a wonderful movie, seriously.

It got me through a lot of sad lonely nights when I was a kid staying up late because I was always a night owl.

From the ages of 10-13 I had a very hard time being such a lonely, sheltered child who never had friends or got out of the house that much.

The good thing about my childhood was that I grew up in a really big building with lots of large rooms and halls to run around in. I literally used to ride bicycles and scooters in the halls... LOL!

Nobody cared, I did what I wanted.

I always had an excellent stereo system and when everyone was at work, I would run and skip and dance through the halls with the music blaring. Good music too. The oldies, the classics. SOME new stuff, but it had to be weird shit... like Type O Negative, or Tiger Army.

It was great.

In those years though, I was totally in love with Gene Wilder. Blazing Saddles got more late night plays, but I also watched Willy Wonka quite a bit. Young Frankenstein was also in my arsenal, but it wasn't really my fave.

After about age 13, I was over the sad panda emotions about being alone and whatnot... I took years upon years to build walls so thick and high that I really do believe are impenetrable.

I have never been lonely since.
