I really did have an arsenal.
I spent about a year daily recording various shows on blank tapes. I had a closet full of them.
I was mad in love with Michael Landon and recorded as much Bonanza, Little House, and Highway To Heaven as I could.
I loved M*A*S*H so much that I actually bought every season on VHS with Christmas money. I may have had DVDs too, but I remember being very much against DVDs on principle... plus they were expensive at the time. I had a crush on Radar (Gary Burghoff was my first celebrity autograph) and of course I thought Trapper John (Wayne Rogers) was pretty damn hot too. I loved Radar far more though, and I really dug the fact that he slept with a teddy bear. At 13, I landed my own teddy bear from the Hallmark store at the mall, Mr. Happy who I've discussed, and he was named by my brother who thought it was funny. I was also intrigued by Gary Burghoff because he had a deformed hand which they usually were able to hide in most scenes.
I had a large collection of The Twilight Zone and Barney Miller as well. I was terribly smitten with Dietrich (love that name), portrayed by Steve Landesberg.
