She had to mention her friends, and the variety of female friends she has, in order to persuade us that it isn't just her. That was a convenient (i.e., intellectually lazy) segue into "therefore it must be men."

Yeah I can see the psychological validity behind that observation...

But I think she's just one of those women who are totally obsessed with her friends, which is totally annoying and a real problem.

It always brings trouble into relationships.
