Especially so as you increase in age... although it's true that men can reproduce til they're elderly, the sperm can lose potency and it can become damaged just as a woman nearing the end of her productive years faces the same nerfing by nature. The consequences with elderly sperm will never be as severe as with old eggs, but it's still a potential issue nonetheless.
The older you are, the younger and more fertile of a woman you need in order to have the best chances.

Of course, it doesn't always. But I notice that it does, particularly with men who are deeper thinkers than usual, exercise their philosophical muscles more, etc.
