The number of billionaires looking for private islands to buy or rent has gone through the roof.
Some of these island shoppers think they can be choosy about which island they get. One guy traveled to an island to decide if he wanted to buy it, only to find it had already been sold a few hours before he landed. Others have the unrealistic expectation that the island will have enough arable land to grow all of their family's food.
The ostensible reason for this sudden spike in interest is the Wuhan coronavirus, but it's really about finding a safe haven from civil unrest.
Good luck with that. If someone like the guy in the OP video wants you dead, you're a sitting duck on an island.
