Some 35 years on, I can't really say I have a sentimental allegiance to Perry or Journey anymore. I've moved on to other bands and genres during that time. Most notably, I became a Cure freak starting with Disintegration and spent years delving into their older albums. (Yeah, I was late to that party.) By then, I had listened to Journey so much that I just couldn't anymore. I mean I wore their tapes and CDs out. I had all of their albums with Greg Rolie too, although they had only released one or two singles back then. That's how obsessed I was.
