There are a lot of gatekeepers, some are entities and some aren't really in much or any form at all. For the most part they're just programs. They're barriers which allow you to keep your form, they keep you defined as what you are... otherwise you end up in places you can't exist in, and then you die.

It was a pretty epic argument, very early on in the message board's life, lol! I thought it was memorable too.
