Well I just think it discounts other people way too much to suggest that they don't fit into any archetype...
The whole "NPC theory" is a bit rude, IMO, as everyone (and everything) is a (potential) consciousness vector and therefore should be treated with equal respect. You never know when they might be occupied, and you don't want Jesus to catch you slippin', gnomesayin'...

But archetypes exist in their highest and lowest forms, here on earth, everybody and everything, everywhere.
There is the ultimate best expression of the archetype, which I'm sure is rare, but you do see 'em every now and then.
And there is the ultimate worst expression of the archetype (super evil people or people who live in fucked up circumstances), and everything else in between.
Every archetype in every stage can be seen here.
I am not a fan of the psychologist people in history, but I definitely do believe everyone fits an archetype, whether it's a super happy great example, or a super degraded and fragmented example.
