I've been wearing a bathrobe as a cardigan for the past month...

When it comes to wearing robes as an everyday clothing accessory, one has to keep texture at the forefront of consideration.

You can't simply wear a plain, solid fleece robe with no detail in the stitching whatsoever. It MUST have texture and some form.

Because it's such a delicate matter, people who wear robes a lot as daily attire incorporated into a whole outfit typically go for a sheer, silk fabric robe rather than any type of heavy material.

The benefit to this flowy style is obvious. But what if it's cold?? You have to know how to style a heavier robe, and it's not scary.

It can be done, but one merely needs to grasp the stylistic principles to start the process of exploring robes as a daily fashion piece.
