I mean, in some warped way I guess it's supposed to happen...
It figures they'd brainwash the masses to believe that they are trying to protect them from some threat, when the real threat is the solution they're offering.
It threatens the very survival of a large part of humanity...
If they KNEW the severity of the threat, their reaction would be much, much different.
