Made my first badge when I was about 12 or so.

I can feel it now, as I read this.

I can feel the shiny, black crocodile skin pattern of the wallet...

It died in a fire but I could swear it's in my hands right now.

It had one of those transparent kinda white glow in the dark stars on it that you buy in bulk, put 'em on the wall in kids' rooms or whatever.

That was glued to the inside, and I think there may have been something written on a paper...

But at that time didn't know I was a free agent of the universe...

I was just roleplaying as the only female detective on Barney Miller...
