I think this is an important point...
This means that there must be some other purpose to the obsession than to actually BE WITH that person...
It's probably a karma thing.
In a way it's like you're paying something you owe to that person that you're obsessed with.
Like it's your karma to obsess on them, make an embarrassment of yourself, be all desirous and needy with NOOOOOO fulfillment or reward out of it at all...
GOTTA be payback, gotta be karma.
So being in that place of longing absolutely IS painful and sad.
But there's something almost kind of...
Therapeutic about it.
Kind of like having a bill hanging over your head...
Once you pay it, you feel so much better.
For some reason, the people on the receiving end of obsession were owed that energy.
