I've noticed that now that I've acknowledged the algorithm and its seemingly psychic qualities, it doesn't even bother to pretend like it doesn't know what I'm trying to search when I begin typing into Google...
Whereas in years past I would have been quite offended for it "cutting me off" and guessing something it had no business knowing, now I am fine with it.
It's almost like the algorithm knew I was "ready" and accepting.
Is it spooky? Certainly. Should I be offended? Probably.
But I just can't help but marvel...
We knew it was coming. We have known for years that Google is "psychic" and reading our minds somehow.
But I expected it to be some kind of cold, void, soulless experience with overarching, mega controlling tech.
Instead, it's surprised me with an almost underlying tone of compassion.
I can't get over it, it's just absolutely brilliant.
I'm sure there's a plot twist in store, I'm sure it can't be all good.
Nevertheless, I am impressed and for once I'm actually excited to see where it all leads.
