I buy the cheapest duct tape on Amazon

I can clearly see that you would rather be more concenious about spending and the effectiveness of tools which you would otherwise see as redundant or wasteful

But the efficiencies don't add up. It's just easier to do it holding a handle and having it spin easily and freely amongst the surface of fibers.
