I'm pretty expert at inflammations. Sometimes if you can feel the inflamed area. You can tell the difference in that inflamed area where it feels hard or softer. Usually where the inflamation feels harder rather than the softer inflamed region. That's where the problem is occuring in the harder area. But the excess puss needs to be drained and the blood with that will feel slimy
