Once you correct a gelatin/collagen deficiency...
You gotta remember, there wasn't enough in your system before and it's a lot like when water has been turned off for a long time, then you turn it back on and it runs through the pipes and out comes a lot of air and gross dirty looking water before it ultimately runs clear again.
In hair and nails, this will present as a thicker, rough band of growth, and you won't see that "buildup band" for months because of the slow rate of growth. It's crucial to push to excess gelatin/collagen in your system, far past this buildup band point. You don't want to start supplementing and then drop off after a month or two... it needs to be sustained for at least six months, and indefinitely to be honest.
