The producers of M*A*S*H chose to use film instead of video for the TV series when it came out in the early 70s, to give it a classier look.
Well it was NOWHERE NEAR as bad as when the Twilight Zone filmed those random episodes with a "soap opera" kind of camera.
I can't remember what the technical term is for it, but it was absolutely horrible.
I dreaded those episodes. A few of them were good despite...
But wow, it was awful.
Twilizn and Gunsmoke are now my 2 favorite shows of all time, which is saying a lot.
Lastnight I was considering it, and I concluded that for the first part of my life, Twilight Zone is my #1 favorite show.
Now, for the second part of my life, Gunsmoke is my #1 favorite show.
So that way they are both #1.
I actually own the entire Twilight Zone (original) series on DVD too, I have owned that for a super long time.
I've owned M*A*S*H, Columbo, The Twilight Zone, and now Gunsmoke on DVD.
The only ones I have left now are Twilizn and Gunsmoke.
I think that is apropos. I guess there's no real reason to have to pick and choose top favorites...
And how could I ever leave out Columbo?? Regardless...
Gunsmoke and The Twilight Zone are my two number ones.
