This sounds like a hybrid hereditary / democratic solution.

America as a nation is too large to have a national government based on familial ties. Unless you want a Bush dynasty or a Clinton dynasty, I mean. You may as well have an emperor.

Most matters could be handled at the family or village level if the Federal and state governments would butt out.

I rather a Kennedy family dynasty or a Donald J Trump family dynasty as opposed to the other two. USA has this Individualist Mythology where a single lone person saves the day like the Lone Wolf, Kyle Rittenhouse for example.
