I've said it before in so many words and I'll say it again...

There's nowhere to go from the top.

Ackles and everyone else on Supernatural was immortalized to heights that any other actor (besides those of longstanding renown who've been icons for decades) would be lucky to reach.

It can't be outdone.

His role in that show will be his bread and butter for the rest of his days, so I recommend he just honors it, embraces it, and never fucks it up.
